The Tell Tales Club - Jessie Wild & Cath Little

The Tell Tales Club is back for a celebration of the elements and our beautiful environment!
As part of a wider collaboration of storytellers along the west coast, The Tell Tales Club will be presenting two watery wonder tales!
7pm to 9pm at Walden Arts, The Old Sail Loft, Drawbridge, Cardigan, SA43 1HW£10 / £8 conc
Book your ticket at Walden Arts here.
Jessie will be telling “Tropsyn” a Romany tale from Bukowina which travelled across the waters to become a Welsh Romany Tale.
This is the story which first captured Jessie’s heart and started her on the path to become a storyteller.
It is a strange twisty tale full of peculiar happenings and a rare otherworldly magic. Small becomes mighty and a mother’s milk really does contain wizardry (or should that be witchery?) of the best kind.
Jessie is delighted to be joined by Cath Little from Cardiff Story Circle, who will be telling “The Lady of the Fountain”. This old Welsh Wonder Tale comes from the court of King Arthur and Queen Guinivere.
It tells the story of a journey to the sacred Fountain, source of the Water of Life. Cath weaves the tale with song and music from the lyre. She has a strong belief in the power of traditional stories to connect us to one another, to the land, and to the people who once lived here. Cath is passionate about sharing the ancient British wonder tales of The Mabinogion.

Spontaneous storytelling is the art of making up a story as you go along. It's all about having the courage to step into the unknown and create from the heart. Letting your tale sprout forth from the fertile soil of the present moment, from mystery.
So if you want to have a giggle and aquire a new skill to entertain your friends and family, come and join in on this exciting adventure.
Jason Wood has trained in storytelling at Emerson College. He has been telling spontaneous stories since 2010, performing at community events, parties, festivals and self organised events. He loves to embody characters and revel in the ridiculous.
